For pupils’ learning Workshop for educators

From Classroom Need to Classroom Resource

Creating With AI

Finding a resource is one thing. Finding one that fits your learning goal, your pupils and the language they need is another. Sometimes creating what your class needs is the better starting point. In this practical workshop, explore how AI can help you turn a learning need into a resource you have designed yourself. Using examples such as visual and multilingual vocabulary sheets, work through the choices that make a resource useful: what to include, how to present it and how to check that it supports the intended learning.

What we’ll explore

  • Begin with the learning: Identify what pupils need to understand and the barrier your resource should help address.
  • Design for your pupils: Choose vocabulary, explanations, visuals and language support that serve a clear purpose.
  • Create and refine: Brief AI, review what it produces and give feedback to improve the resource.
  • Check it for classroom use: Review accuracy, meaning, images and any translations before deciding what to use.

What you’ll work towards

Work towards a draft resource for a specific learning need, alongside an approach to designing and reviewing future resources. The focus is on making thoughtful choices about what will help your pupils learn.
