One Lesson, Different Learners

A Little Help With the Heavy Lifting

One lesson can bring together pupils with very different language levels, confidence and prior knowledge. Planning how each of them can access the learning adds another layer to an already busy day. This practical session explores how AI can help you adapt an existing resource while keeping the learning goal clear. Try ways to explain vocabulary, add visual support, develop sentence starters or offer suitable stretch, then use your knowledge of the class to decide what will help.

What we’ll explore

  • Identify the barrier: Pinpoint what could prevent a pupil from accessing the learning.
  • Explore ways in: Use AI to suggest vocabulary support, visual prompts, explanations and sentence starters.
  • Keep the learning purposeful: Review scaffolds and additional challenge against the same learning goal.
  • Adapt for your class: Check accuracy and suitability, then refine the resource using your knowledge of the pupils.

What you’ll work towards

Work towards an adapted resource and a clearer way to think through support for different learners. Leave with practical approaches you can use when preparing lessons, particularly where language is a barrier to participation.
